This Dialog contains the tool options for inserting displaying Railway objects in PEN3D's zoom window.
The Railway Parameter - Maximum tab:
Title
Road segment Name
Maximum Spectra
Sound power level for the maximum noise level calculation in octave bands 63 Hz to 8000 Hz.
Traffic speed
Average traffic speed
Percentage heavies
Trucks as a proportion of total flow and express as a percentage.
Road width
This defines the road edge. With the normal model (not on ground) the height of the road is also carried out to the road edge. It also defines the edge of the hard ground. Default surface is soft ground in the CoRTN model.
Source Height
Height of the traffic stream noise source above the road.
Impervious Pervious
Standard CoRTN road surface specifications
Other
User defined road surface correction - departure from Standard CoRTN but approved by road authorities Used in conjunction with the scroll bar to specify the correction relative to DGA road surface.
Traffic direction
Direction of flow relative to digitising direction. Used when calculating gradient correction
The Railway Parameter - Leq tab:
Leq Spectra
Sound power level for the Leq noise level calculation in octave bands 63 Hz to 8000 Hz.
The Railway Parameter - Geometry tab:
Speed start and End
Speed at each end of the segment in the digitising direction
Source height
above the ground.
Train length
as it sounds. For maximum calculations it max be appropriate not to use the full length of the train
Track width
This defines the track edge. The height of the track is also carried out to the track edge.
