There are three types of contours available in the PEN3D model. Samples of each contour type are shown below
More Options for Contour display select
To display contours select the option Display contours. At the time this Display Option dialog is closed the contours are recalculated. Both the contour lines and areas are calculated, even if the areas are not displayed. If there are a large number of calculation boxes it may take a minute or so to calculate the contours. All contours are calculated by linear interpolation. That is why the contours can have an angular look (Rather than a smoothed contour).
If Display Contours is selected the default setting is to also place a legend in the upper left corner of the zoom window. This may be de-selected by un-checking the Display legend checkbox.
In situations where adjoining calculation boxes to not align at the vertices it is recommended to uncheck Quick Contours. This will make the contours consistent between abutting calculation boxes.
Display Grid Options
The default setting is to display a grid comprising a yellow line (dash dot dot) on a 250 m interval. The grid may be turned off and the interval changed. The grid is always aligned to xy reference grid which in turn is always aligned to North.
