These options are part of the main menu for PEN3D although only relate to the zoom window and some of the derivatives.

The find option helps when selecting objects in the Zoom Window. By selecting only certain object type the program will only find object of that type.
For instance suppose all roads are to be selected. Simply uncheck all, check Roads, followed by zoom extents in a zoom window and then drag a rectangle over the entire DTM. Voila all roads selected.
