This topic provides a brief guide to the Editing using the Notepad Window user interface of PEN3D . Click on the text balloons or scroll down for detailed descriptions.

Notepad Window
The Notepad Window displays the digital terrain model in a text only way in a view emulating a spreadsheet. There are various options to display the data described in this section. The zoom window is created by selecting the menu item or the button on the Program Toolbar.
Notepad Toolbars
The Notepad Window Toolbars provides a selection of display filters. Only objects that belong to that class are displayed.

Each element in the notepad view can be edited. There is checking to ensure only the correct type may be entered and if necessary valid options will be presented.
To edit highlight the cell(s), click in the upper edit box and type in the new value followed by enter.
Cells can be copied and pasted.
Please Note!
When pasting from spreadsheets ensure that only the correct number format is used, i.e. If the cells are displayed as integers then ensure that the value to be pasted is also an integer. If it is a real number ensure there is a decimal point. |
